What is the martingale?

You double your bet after each loss and go back to the starting bet after a win. One win recovers everything lost so far plus the starting bet. The catch: a long losing run makes the bets grow fast. At step 6 you are betting 32 times your starting bet on a single hand.

How to read the calculator

• Bankroll needed: the money you need to survive the whole cycle.
• Odds of losing the cycle: the chance of losing every step in a row. It looks small, but dozens of cycles a day will meet it.
• Average result per cycle: small wins and the occasional full loss, weighted by probability. Because of commission it is always slightly negative.

How often long streaks really happen

Frequently asked questions

How many martingale steps are right?

There is no right answer. More steps make a full loss rarer but bigger. Look at the bankroll needed as a share of your capital first.

What about tables like 1, 3, 7, 15 instead of doubling?

They raise a little more so that one win recovers the losses and leaves more. Enter them under Custom and the calculator treats them the same way.

How are ties handled?

At Evolution live baccarat, bets on banker or player are returned on a tie. The calculator treats a tie as a push and bets the same step again.

Is the banker commission included?

Yes. A banker win pays 0.95 times the bet, so a doubling martingale on banker leaves slightly less than the starting bet after a win.

Can you beat baccarat with the martingale?

You win often in the short run, but the average result per cycle is negative: an occasional full loss takes back what the small wins made. Setting a stop line is what matters.
