Still won't run? Turn off Smart App Control

If nothing happens after you click Run anyway, or you only see a block notice, Windows 11 Smart App Control has stopped a program it has not seen before. It does not mean there is a virus. Turn it off once with the steps below.

Open Smart App Control now

If the screen does not open, follow steps 8 to 10 below.

Are you sure?

You won't be able to turn Smart App Control back on, without reinstalling Windows, once you turn it off.

Yes, I'm sureCancel
Only Smart App Control is turned off. Your built-in antivirus (Microsoft Defender) keeps scanning and real-time protection stays on. Once it is off, you may not be able to turn it back on without reinstalling or resetting Windows, so please check before you switch it off.

If your antivirus deletes Hiddenpick.exe: open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Protection history and click "Allow" on Hiddenpick, then go to Manage settings → Add or remove exclusions and add the Hiddenpick folder. With other antivirus programs, restore the file from quarantine and add the same folder as an exception.

Setup

1Keep the extracted folder together anywhere you like and run Hiddenpick.exe inside it. There is no installer.
2If Windows shows a "protected your PC" warning, click [More info] → [Run anyway]. Windows shows this for any app without a distribution signature.
3If antivirus blocks it (Chrome "virus detected", or the zip won't extract), it's a false positive. Unsigned apps are sometimes misflagged. (1) If Chrome blocks the download, open the downloads list, click the file, then the right-hand button [Download suspicious file]. (2) If it vanishes while extracting, go to Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Protection history, [Allow] the item, then extract again. You can also scan it on VirusTotal to be sure.
4Log in inside the app and your saved settings follow you.
5Updating? Close the program first, then overwrite it with the new file. Overwriting while it runs causes a Security validation failure error. If you already saw it, close every copy of the program and run it again.
