Crypto casino deposit times run from about 1 minute on Tron to 45 minutes on Bitcoin, and a fixed fee weighs most on small deposits

The answers first

  • Crypto deposits take different times on different chains: about 1 minute on Tron, about 45 minutes on Bitcoin at one exchange
  • Transfer fees do not depend on the amount sent, so the smaller the deposit, the bigger the fee as a share of it
  • Picking the wrong network can mean the money is not recovered, so test a new address with a small amount first

Many baccarat sites take deposits only in crypto. Unlike a bank transfer, a fee comes off on the sending side first, and the wait before the balance shows up differs from chain to chain.

This post does not pick or recommend any site. Using figures that chains and an exchange have published, we worked out what one deposit costs and how long it takes.

1.Where money leaves a crypto deposit

Sending from a personal wallet costs a blockchain network fee. Sending straight from an exchange costs the withdrawal fee that exchange sets.

Some sites charge their own deposit fee and some do not. That is for the deposit screen and the terms to say, so the sums below set it to zero.

2.Fee math: what share of the deposit the same fee becomes

Bitcoin's official FAQ says fees depend on the size of the transaction in bytes, not on the amount sent. Fee levels rise when the network is busy, and a low fee can make the first confirmation take considerably longer (Bitcoin FAQ).

Fixed fee: a fee that stays the same each time you send, whatever the amount.

Assume each transfer costs 3,000 won and split that across deposit sizes.

  • 100,000 won: 3%
  • 300,000 won: 1%
  • 1,000,000 won: 0.3%
  • 3,000,000 won: 0.1%

Same 3,000 won, a 30-fold gap in the rate.

The 3,000 won fixed fee per transfer is an assumption. The site's own deposit fee is set to zero.
▲ The 3,000 won fixed fee per transfer is an assumption. The site's own deposit fee is set to zero.

Set next to betting numbers, the size becomes clear. A 10,000 won Banker bet has an expected loss of 106 won, the 1.06% house share (house edge 1.06%).

On a 100,000 won deposit, 3,000 won equals the expected loss of 28 Banker bets of 10,000 won. The same 3,000 won on a 1,000,000 won deposit is 0.3%, a tenth of the rate.

Splitting a deposit flips this.

Ten transfers of 100,000 won cost 30,000 won in fees, while one transfer of 1,000,000 won costs 3,000 won. The same money goes in, the fee grows tenfold, and taking withdrawals in pieces adds the gap again.

Writing down the fee as a share of the amount before sending makes it easier to decide how many transfers to use.

Taking withdrawals in crypto adds the same sum once more. The site's withdrawal fee is on that site's fee table. A sum that assumes a round-trip rate is in how to choose a baccarat site.

With a coin whose price moves, the amount changes while you wait. Between sending Bitcoin and seeing it credited, the balance in won can shift. Stablecoins, pegged to the dollar, move much less.

When setting a deposit amount, look first at the fixed fee divided by the amount. If that share is above 1%, the deposit costs more up front than the house share on a single bet.

3.Time math: minutes until the balance shows up, by chain

Sites credit the balance after a number of blockchain confirmations. That number differs by site, so we count with chain documentation and one exchange's published figures.

  • Tron: a new block every 3 seconds (TRON block docs), and it typically takes about 1 minute to become irreversible
  • Ethereum: 12-second slots and 32-slot epochs. Waiting two epochs is 12.8 minutes (our arithmetic)
  • Bitcoin: a block about every 10 minutes on average. Kraken credits after 3 confirmations and gives about 45 minutes on average
Ethereum's 12.8 minutes and Bitcoin's 1 hour for 6 confirmations are arithmetic from the documented figures. Actual crediting follows the confirmations a site requires.

The Ethereum figures are in the Ethereum proof-of-stake docs, and Kraken's in its deposit processing times.

For the same amount, the wait ranges from 1 minute to nearly an hour depending on the chain. A Speed table runs about 126 hands an hour, so 45 minutes is a little over 94 hands.

4.What is left after picking the wrong network

Coins such as USDT exist separately on several chains. If the deposit address is for Tron and the coins go out on another chain, they will not reach the balance unless the receiver supports that chain.

Binance.US support says deposits on an unsupported network stay on the blockchain and cannot be accessed. Deposits sent without a memo are returned minus a 5% processing fee, and processing typically takes a few business days (Binance.US deposit recovery guide).

This is one exchange's policy. Ask the site's support first whether it recovers deposits and how much it keeps.

Recovering 1,000,000 won sent without a memo on the same terms would cost 50,000 won.

That is more than 16 times the assumed 3,000 won fixed fee.

With a new address, send a small amount first, check it reaches the balance, then send the rest. It costs one more fee, which is less than one mistake.

In Korea, Criminal Act article 246 makes gambling punishable (Korean Criminal Act). The sums here assume the law where you live allows it.

Before sending

  • Is the chain named on the site's deposit screen the same as the one chosen on the sending side
  • If there is a memo or tag field, has it been filled in
  • What share of the amount is the fixed fee
  • Have you noted how many confirmations the site waits for and its minimum deposit
  • With a new address, did a small amount go first

Hiddenpick is a Windows program that keeps on its server the betting rules that pick owners do not make public, and runs them as they are on the PC of the person who received them through a referral code. It currently runs on Evolution live baccarat at Stake (stake.com). How betting can be handed to a program once the deposit is done is in the baccarat bot guide. We are recruiting national pickster representatives, and those selected receive benefits worth $12,000, a one-year pass (apply at hiddenpick.my/pickster).
