Evolution baccarat table speeds compared: hands per hour from Squeeze to Super Speed

Numbers first

  • Median time per hand: 19 s at Super Speed, 26 s at Speed, 36 s at regular tables, 59 s at Squeeze
  • With shoe changes included, an hour holds 57 hands at Squeeze, 126 at Speed and 176 at Super Speed
  • A shoe runs 67 to 68 hands at every table type, and card rules and Banker pay change only with the words in a table's name

1.What tables are in the Evolution baccarat lobby?

Evolution's game page lists Baccarat, Squeeze, Control Squeeze, Lightning, Golden Wealth, Speed, No Commission, Peek, Salon Privé and Dual Play (Evolution live baccarat).

The lobby opens the same type many times under different names. Of the 96 tables we collected from, 62 had Speed in the name.

Table names: Korean, Japanese or Thai is the dealer's language, A, B, 1, 2 are table numbers.

The other words in a name set speed and rules. Speed, Super Speed, No Commission, Lightning and Squeeze are those words.

Language tables make no difference to results, which we covered in how to choose a table. This post looks at the first questions people have once inside: time and hand counts.

2.How long does a hand, and an hour, take at each table type?

Evolution says a standard baccarat round lasts around 48 seconds and a Speed Baccarat round 27 seconds (Speed Baccarat page). The Super Speed page gives no figure in seconds.

Official figures are typical values, so we timed each table type ourselves. Using clean shoes collected from September 9 to October 7, 2026, we took the median time between one hand and the next in the same shoe.

Regular tables ran 12 seconds faster than the official figure, and Speed tables matched it closely.

Regular tables (Baccarat A and B, 1,333 shoes) came in at 36 seconds, and 62 Speed tables (41,032 shoes) at 26 seconds. Timed separately, both regular tables were 36 seconds, and the middle half of Speed gaps fell between 24 and 28 seconds.

The other types, measured the same way:

  • Super Speed: 2 tables, 1,905 shoes, 19 seconds
  • No Commission: 1 table, 653 shoes, 35 seconds
  • Lightning: 3 tables, 36 seconds
  • Squeeze: 2 tables, 932 shoes, 59 seconds

At Squeeze the dealer peels the cards back slowly, so a hand takes over 20 seconds longer than at a regular table. Control Squeeze, where players peel the cards themselves, took 64 seconds, and the dealer-squeeze table 55.

Gaps between hands leave out the time a shoe change takes. So we counted hands per hour again using the time from a shoe's first hand to the next shoe's first hand.

In the same hour, Squeeze deals 57 hands and Super Speed 176. That is three times as many.

No Commission at 98, regular at 96 and Lightning at 94 are nearly the same.

Speed is no reason to pick one of those three over another.

Hand count turns into money wagered. Assuming the same stake every hand, one hour at Super Speed holds about as many hands as 1 hour 50 minutes at a regular table. The expected loss per hand stays the same, but the loss per hour grows with the number of hands.

Playing by hand, the difference also shows up as fatigue. At Super Speed the betting, the deal and the result all fit inside 19 seconds.

A table with longer gaps is an easier place to learn the traffic lights and the result screen first.

3.How many hands are in a shoe, and how long is the shuffle?

Evolution's rules say the game uses 8 decks and the cards are shuffled once the cut card comes out. Tables with a shuffle table use two shoes, so play continues with one while the other is shuffled (Evolution baccarat rules).

A shoe averaged 67 hands, from 40 at the shortest to 90 at the longest. Split by table type, the median stayed at 67 to 68 hands.

What changes between tables is the time between hands, while shoe length stays about the same. Why hand counts differ from shoe to shoe is in how many hands are in a shoe.

From the end of a shoe to the next shoe's first hand took a median 1 minute 51 seconds at Speed tables and 2 minutes 17 seconds at regular tables. Long shuffles cluster at a few tables, as shown in shoe change time.

4.How many seconds do you get to bet?

The rules show betting time as traffic lights: green means bets are open, yellow means betting is about to close, and red means it has closed.

No number of seconds is given.

The Super Speed page also says only that betting time is kept to a minimum.

The 26 seconds between hands include betting, the deal and the result. The time to actually bet is shorter.

The rules also say a bet placed before a disconnection stays valid, and the result can be seen in the History window after reconnecting.

5.Do rules and RTP change from table to table?

Speed and Super Speed save time by dealing cards face up. Card rules and payouts are the same as at a regular table.

Under standard rules Banker pays 0.95 to 1, Player 1 to 1 and Tie 8 to 1. The rules give an optimal RTP of 98.94%, based on the Banker bet.

In clean collected shoes, Banker won 50.68% of hands with ties left out.

Speed does not change that share.

No Commission pays half when Banker wins with 6, which raises the Banker house share to 1.46% (No Commission baccarat). Lightning charges a 20% fee on every bet and adds multipliers.

Q.Can I practice Evolution baccarat in a demo first?

A.Demos are opened by each casino site, and we did not check them for this post. Sitting at a table with longer gaps and watching the lights and results for a few hands without betting works anywhere.

Q.Is a Speed table worse than a regular table?

A.Card rules and payouts are the same, so the expected value per hand is the same. But about 30 more hands go by in an hour, so more money gets wagered.

Q.Can I join in the middle of a shoe?

A.Yes. Card rules are the same wherever in the 67 hands you start, and earlier hands stay on the roadmap.

Hiddenpick is a Windows program that keeps on its server the betting rules that pick owners do not make public, and runs them as they are on the PC of the person who received them through a referral code. It currently runs on Evolution live baccarat at Stake (stake.com). How betting that is hard to follow by hand at fast tables can be left to a program is in the baccarat bot guide. We are recruiting national pickster representatives, and those selected receive benefits worth $12,000, a one-year pass (apply at hiddenpick.my/pickster).
