Live baccarat rules, 6 checks before taking a seat: dealer stream, betting time, pause rules, limits and language

Six lines to look at first

  • Check whether a dealer is really dealing or a computer (RNG) decides the cards, and how long and how visibly the betting window runs
  • Read the clauses that say what happens to a bet when the stream stops or the connection drops
  • Find the table limits, the language and chat settings, and where the game number sits for support

A live baccarat table sends a studio camera feed to the screen. That extra path for video is why the rules carry clauses that ordinary games do not need.

This post does not recommend any site. It lists six facts that can be checked by hand before taking a seat, using sentences from the game provider's rules and the shoes we collected.

1.Is a dealer dealing real cards on camera?

Baccarat lobbies mix tables where a dealer deals real cards with tables where a random number generator (RNG) decides them. How shuffles and roadmaps differ between the two is covered in live dealer baccarat vs RNG.

Here there is one thing to check.

Evolution's rules say baccarat is hosted by a dealer and uses eight standard 52-card decks. Look for the dealer and the card shoe on screen, and a game number on every round.

Game number: a unique number on each round. It holds the time the round began, in GMT, as hour, minute and second.

2.How long is the betting window, and how is it shown?

Evolution's rules show betting time with traffic lights. Green means bets are open, yellow means time is nearly up, red means it is over. The rules give no number of seconds.

Some providers do give a number. When Pragmatic Play launched Speed Baccarat in 2020, it announced 27 second rounds with 12 seconds of betting time (CasinoBeats, 2020).

Betting time differs by provider and table, so on a new table it is worth watching one round and timing how long the light stays green. In the Speed table shoes we collected, the median gap between hands was 26 seconds. The full spread is in speed baccarat at 26 seconds a hand.

3.What happens to a bet when the screen stops or drops?

This is the first clause to read at a live table.

Evolution's rules have three sentences, one for each case.

The error handling, malfunction and disconnection clauses of Evolution's baccarat rules, in order.

An error on the game side: paused, then cancelled if not fixed

If there is an error in the game, system or procedure, the round is paused and the dealer notifies the service manager. Players are told by chat or by a pop-up on screen.

If the manager fixes it at once, the round goes on.

If not, the round is cancelled and the bets placed on it are refunded to everyone who took part. Under the payout table there is also a line saying any malfunction voids the round and its payouts, with bets returned.

A drop on the player's side: the bet is still settled

A drop on the player's side is different. Bets already placed stay valid and are settled while the player is away.

After reconnecting, the outcome can be seen in the History window.

The rules also warn that minimising the browser or opening another tab while betting time remains can be read as leaving the game, and the bets for that round may be declined. Keeping that window in front until the round ends is how the rules expect the table to be used.

How often did tables actually pause?

We counted the times the gap between two hands went past one minute, in the shoes we collected. Only clean shoes that started from 9 September to 14 October 2026 were used.

The share of shoes with at least one gap of more than 60 seconds before the next hand.
▲ The share of shoes with at least one gap of more than 60 seconds before the next hand.

In 58,929 Speed table shoes, 0.748% of 3,688,984 gaps between hands were over 60 seconds.

Gaps over 120 seconds were 0.039%.

Counted by shoe, 32.3% of Speed table shoes had at least one pause longer than a minute. For Super Speed tables it was 14.3% of 2,758 shoes. The records cannot tell whether a pause was a dealer side error or something else.

At roughly one shoe in three, anyone sitting for a few hours is likely to see a pause. To contact support about a round, the rules ask players to note or screenshot that round's game number.

4.Where are the table limits, and when do they change?

The rules say the BET LIMITS panel shows the table's minimum and maximum bet, and add that limits may change from time to time.

Yesterday's limits are not assumed for today; the panel is opened on every visit.

Once a bet reaches the maximum, no more is accepted on that spot and a message appears. The double (2x) button only works when the balance can cover doubling every bet already placed.

5.Language, chat, and where settings are kept

Under the rules, the chat field lets a player talk to the dealer and other players. Settings are stored to the profile and load on any device used to log in.

A Korean game screen and a Korean-speaking dealer are separate settings. That difference is set out in Korean Speed Baccarat.

On entering a table, open the limits panel and the rules window before betting.

Gambling law differs by country, and in Korea Article 246 of the Criminal Act makes gambling punishable. This list assumes play only where local law allows it.

6.Checklist before joining

Before taking a seat at a live baccarat table

  • The dealer and the card shoe are on screen, and every round has a game number
  • I timed how long the light stayed green for one round
  • I found and read the error, malfunction and disconnection clauses in the rules
  • After placing chips I do not minimise the window or open another tab
  • I opened the BET LIMITS panel and saw today's limits
  • I checked the language and chat settings and where the History window is

Hiddenpick is a Windows program that keeps on its server the betting rules that pick owners do not make public, and runs them as they are on the PC of the person who received them through a referral code. It currently runs on Evolution live baccarat at Stake (stake.com). How betting can be handed to a program once a table is chosen is in the baccarat bot guide. We are recruiting national pickster representatives, and those selected receive benefits worth $12,000, a one-year pass (apply at hiddenpick.my/pickster).
