About 2,000. That is the number of live tables Evolution says in its annual results it was running at the end of 2025. A year earlier it was 1,700.
Those tables do not take players under the Evolution name. More than 870 casino operators take them and put them on their own sites. The live tables on a baccarat site arrive from a game provider in the same way.
We put what each provider has published in date order, then wrote down how to check whose tables a site is running. No site names, no rankings.
1.A site takes tables and puts them up
Game provider: runs a studio with dealers and cameras and licenses live tables to operators. No direct players (B2B).
Evolution describes itself as a company that develops and licenses B2B online casino solutions to gaming operators. Playtech, at the top of its results, calls itself a B2B technology provider to the online betting and gaming industry.
Players sign up with the site, but the table on screen is run by the provider.
That is why tables from the same provider show up on many sites at once. What a site chooses is which provider, and which of its tables, to take.
2.Provider timeline: 1999 to 2026
1999: Playtech is founded
Playtech was founded in 1999 and is listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. It is not a live casino company only, it also covers casino, sports betting, bingo and poker.
2006: Evolution starts
Evolution's reports date its inception to 2006. In the 2025 results, the CEO looked back on a start from one small live studio in Latvia.
2012: Ezugi is founded
Ezugi is a live dealer provider founded in 2012. That year appears in the press release in which Evolution announced the purchase.
2015 and 2017: Evolution goes public
Evolution listed on Nasdaq First North Premier in 2015 and moved to the Nasdaq Stockholm main market in June 2017. The press release at the time of the move gave more than 70 operator customers and about 3,800 staff.
November 2018: Evolution announces the Ezugi deal
On 21 November 2018 Evolution announced it would acquire Ezugi, with completion planned for early 2019.
Today Ezugi is the second brand inside the Evolution group.
April 2019: Pragmatic Play's Bucharest studio
On 1 April 2019 Pragmatic Play said it had been granted a Class II licence by the Romanian regulator ONJN. The Bucharest studio has a capacity of 43 tables, and Live Baccarat was in the first line-up.
2025: the year the numbers grew
Evolution reported about 2,000 live tables, more than 870 operator customers and around 22,500 people in studios across four continents at the end of 2025. From 70 operators and 3,800 people in 2017, operators grew more than tenfold and staff nearly sixfold.
In the fourth quarter of the same year Ezugi was re-launched in New Jersey. Playtech ran about 500 live tables across 17 studios at the end of 2025, more than 60 of them in three US states.
2026: Evolution turns 20
Evolution marks 2026 as its 20th anniversary. The same report plans a new studio in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for Ezugi.
3.What each provider publishes, and its licences
Evolution prints Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/B2B/187/2010 in each report and says it is also licensed in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, Romania, South Africa and others. Playtech says it operates in more than 50 regulated and regulating jurisdictions.
Pragmatic Play says it is headquartered in Gibraltar and certified or licensed in over 30 jurisdictions. We found no exchange filing for it, so only its website and press releases are used.
When figures sit side by side, match the dates first.
B2B in Evolution's licence number means a licence to supply operators, not a licence for the site carrying the games.
4.How to check whose tables a site is running
First, look for the provider name in the lobby. If the site groups games by provider or prints a provider name on the room tile, start there.
Second, open the game rules in the room's help menu. The rules screen is made by the provider, so the game name and payouts can be matched against the same game's page on the provider's website.
Third, check that the country the site operates in is on that provider's licence list. Evolution links to its licence list from the foot of its website, and Pragmatic Play names regulators such as the UK Gambling Commission on its site.
Fourth, check the site's own operating licence separately. A provider's licence does not stand in for the site's licence.
