Speed baccarat at 26 seconds a hand, what was cut and what stayed the same

The answers first

  • Speed baccarat deals cards face up and shortens the results display. Card rules and payouts are the same as standard baccarat
  • Across 51,608 Speed table shoes we collected, the median gap between hands was 26 seconds, and more than eight hands in ten ended within 20~30 seconds
  • What grows is the number of hands an hour. The edge on each hand stays the same, so the same expected loss arrives sooner

Scroll a baccarat lobby and Speed is the word printed on most table names. If the game underneath is unchanged, something else had to give. We set the studio's own pages beside our logged hands to find out what.

1.What speed baccarat cuts

Evolution says a standard baccarat round lasts 48 seconds and a Speed Baccarat round 27 seconds. It names two ways of getting there: cards are dealt face up, and the time spent showing the result is kept to a minimum (Evolution Speed Baccarat).

Speed baccarat: baccarat with standard rules and odds, made shorter by a faster reveal and a briefer result screen.

The rule sheet lists even money on Player, 95 cents per unit on Banker and eight units on Tie, with a best-case return of 98.94% when backing Banker (Evolution baccarat rules).

The word Speed changes only the pace of play. The third card rule is the same as at a standard table.

Nobody publishes how many seconds the betting window lasts. A coloured light on screen, moving from green through yellow to red, is all the rule sheet describes.

2.How to spot a Speed table in a site's lobby

The label words on a table name set its pace and rules. Speed sets the pace, Super Speed trims the betting window again, and No Commission rewrites the Banker payout.

Speed does not mean commission free. Only No Commission tables change that, and their Banker house share rises to 1.46%.

The No Commission sums are in no commission baccarat. Among the tables we collected, 62 had Speed in the name and were not Super Speed.

3.What 26 seconds looks like in the shoes we collected

26 seconds is a median. That one number does not show how much hands vary, or whether tables and hours differ.

So we took only clean shoes started between September 9 and October 11, 2026, with no missing hands and recorded to the end. Across 51,608 shoes at 62 Speed tables we counted 3.2 million gaps between one hand and the next in the same shoe.

Only gaps of 5~180 seconds within a shoe were counted, so long pauses such as dealer changes are left out.
▲ Only gaps of 5~180 seconds within a shoe were counted, so long pauses such as dealer changes are left out.

84.9% of the gaps fell between 20 and 30 seconds. The bottom 10% was 23 seconds and the top 10% 30 seconds.

Only 1.8% of hands took under 20 seconds. 13.4% took over 30 seconds, and 0.8% took over a minute.

Tables barely differed.

All 62 table medians fell between 25 and 27 seconds. Whatever the dealer language or table number, no table was more than 2 seconds apart.

We also looked at the hour. Split hour by hour from midnight to 11 pm Korea time, the median was 26 seconds in all 24 slots. The records show no faster nights and slower evenings.

We recounted hands an hour from 49,352 back-to-back clean shoe pairs at the same table. A shoe had a median of 67 hands, and 32.0 minutes passed from its first hand to the next shoe's first hand. That is 126 hands an hour, the same as the Evolution baccarat table speeds post counted with data from September 9 to October 7.

Split the 32 minutes and 66 gaps of 26 seconds make 28.6 minutes of play, leaving about 3.4 minutes for the shuffle and the next shoe. It is arithmetic on medians, so treat it as a rough share.

With 26 seconds between hands, only a few seconds remain between seeing a result and deciding the next hand.

We also checked whether pace changes outcomes. Banker's share without ties was 50.68% at Speed tables and 50.67% across 14,479 shoes at tables without Speed in the name. Ties came up 9.37% of the time at Speed tables.

4.What the faster pace does to the expected loss in an hour

The edge on one hand does not depend on the table's pace. Assuming 10,000 won on Banker every hand, the expected loss at RTP 98.94% is 106 won a hand.

10,000 won on Banker every hand is an assumption. Standard gap and hands are from the earlier post's 9/9~10/7 data, and its Banker share covers all non-Speed tables.
▲ 10,000 won on Banker every hand is an assumption. Standard gap and hands are from the earlier post's 9/9~10/7 data, and its Banker share covers all non-Speed tables.

What changes is how fast those 106 won add up. Reaching an expected loss of 10,000 won takes about 94 hands, which is about 45 minutes at 126 hands an hour and about 59 minutes at the standard 96.

With the same stake, a Speed table reaches the same loss about 14 minutes sooner. A table of hourly costs is in how to choose a baccarat site.

That is why, at a Speed table, the sums work out better if the total for an hour is set before the amount per hand. Divide that total by 126 to get the amount per hand.

Q.Does speed baccarat pay less than standard baccarat?

A.No. The odds on Player, Banker and Tie match a standard table. Odds change only where the name carries No Commission.

Q.Do hands run faster at quiet hours such as late at night?

A.In the Speed table records we collected, the median gap was 26 seconds in all 24 hours of the day, Korea time.

Q.How many seconds is the betting time at a Speed table?

A.It is not published. Chips, cards and the result screen all share that 26 second gap, so the window for chips is a slice of it.

Q.How much faster is Super Speed?

A.On our September 9 to October 7 records, counted with this same method, the typical gap there was 19 seconds.
